Kos Island:

Plaka Peacock forest

Plaka Peacock forest

Towards the eastern part of the island there is a pine forest Plaka where visitors can see a very large number of peacocks. It definitely is an amazing attraction of the island, since you can spend a few hours with these beautiful birds observing the peacock dance and their calls while enjoying the shade and the fragrance of the pine forest.
The forest is home to a large number of peacocks freely roaming these forests. The birds are rather used to the presence of people due to a large number of tourists that visit them, therefore this is probably the closest you will ever get to a wild peacock.
In parts of the forest, there are also benches placed facing each other for visitors to enjoy these magnificent creatures.
