Saint Clare's Church

Saint Clare's Church

St. Klara’s Church is located near the Saint Ozana's Church, on the same longest north street in Kotor. Earlier, on the same place there was a Benedictine monastery built in 1362, and today it is the church of St. Klara, which was built in the seventeenth century. Within the church, there are 4 marble altars, which are the work of Venetian sculptor Francesco Pence Kabjanka, who came from Venetian Republic and spent some time in Kotor. The main fresco, surrounded by 33 white angels, is on the main altar. The interior of the church is considered one of the most beautiful in the city of Kotor. In the church of St. Clare are kept the Incunabula - books written in Kotor in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Holy Mass is held every Sunday at 6:00pm.

Admission to St. Clare Church is FREE.

St. Clare's Church is open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
