Market in Risan

Risan’s Market is one of the oldest markets in Boka. It is only open on Sundays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. On the main and only square in the center of the town there are numerous locals and residents of other places in Boka and from the surrounding villages who come to sell their local products (eggs, cheese, olives, olive oil, fruits, vegetables and flowers). Prices can vary, depending on the season and the offer.

Interesting fact: In Boka there is a saying that locals are very niggardly. During ancient times, on Sundays at the Risan's Market even eggs were weighed. The heavier an egg, the more it costs
