How to arrive to Kandy and catch the train from Kandy to Ella
In order to arrive to Kandy from Colombo you can use the public transportation. You can use the public bus. The journey lasts for approx. four hours, depending on the traffic and the ticket price is 180 LRK per person.
You can also use the train. The ride lasts approx. 3h and the ticket cost is approx. 200 LRK per person. The trains are plain and modest, but really neat and tidy.
You can also rent a car with a driver and the cost is approx. 50 € per day.
