The Barceloneta Beach is closest to the city center. It is about 2 kilometers far from La Rambla, and it takes a 20-minute walk to get there. It offers a large variety of attractions, it is famous for its pedestrian beach, as well as for many restaurants and night clubs alongside the promenade.
The Barceloneta has a space for people with disabilities, with the purpose of helping them to get in and out of water so they can enjoy bathing in the sea. This beach also has a beach-volleyball pitch, courses for tennis on sand, ping-pong tables, as well as a section for gymnastics.
To sum up, this is a very interesting beach that is easily accessible, but it may become overcrowded because both the locals and tourists come there to enjoy the sun and relax.
