Drvengrad is a unique ethno village, a project envisioned by the famous film director Emir Kusturica. Due to Emir’s efforts, an international film festival called Kustendorf is organized here in Drvengrad each year. Many visitors visit this place each year, probably due to the unique mixture of tradition, architecture, but also the defiance to the mainstream art and media of its sort, and in doing so offering an alternative view of the world.
A ride on the Sargan Eight Railroad will take you on a trip through the past. While sitting on those wooden benches, you will have a chance to observe the incredible landscape of this part of Serbia, to learn about its history and the incredible engineering accomplishment it once represented.
