There is only one bridge that connects the city center of Venice with the mainland called Liberty Bridge. Before you get on the Liberty Bridge going towards Venice, you will notice several parking lots in the open on your right. Even though these parking lots may look a little bit hidden behind the trees and the undergrowth they are probably the best choice for flocks of tourists who want to get to Venice in their cars.
In case you are thinking of parking the car a bit closer, at Piazzale Roma (at the end of the Liberty Bridge and the only city square that can be reached by car or a bus), keep in mind that in this case the prices tend to be much higher.
Parking ticket prices
Parking ticket for a car is 4.5 Euros per day on any of the several parking lots.
Working hours of the parking lots before the Liberty Bridge in Venice
These parking lots are open 24h a day, 7 days a week.
It is well worth mentioning that these parking lots are video monitored 24h a day, which means that there is no chance of someone stealing your car or breaking a car window in order to look for what is inside, as it is often a case in other cities in Italy.
