There is quite a convenient Despar supermarket next to the famous Rialto Bridge in Venice. Due to the high prices in Venice, visitors often find the offer at supermarkets rather affordable. Even though the prices at the supermarkets are much higher than those on mainland Venice, when compared to the higher prices of restaurants they seem rather reasonable. For example, the prices of fruit are often much lower than what can be found at the street fruit vendors.
