The Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology

The Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology is the most interesting museum of the Rabbit fortress. It is devoted to the history of the Russian cosmonautics and rocket technology. In 1930, the first USSR rocket research laboratories were formed here . The exhibited pieces include the rocket items, documents dedicated to cosmonautics and rocket technology, engines, an original vehicle of a legendary spaceship "Soyuz-16", flight suits and equipment, spacesuits and space food.

The visitors will also have the opportunity to find out who the main rocket engineers of the Soviet Union were. Valentin Pertovich Glushko, one of the three most important Soviet rocket engineers, along with Volodimir Colomej and Sergei Pavlovich Korolov. Glushko constructed an important rocket engine RD-1KhZ. After the Second World War Glushko was sent to Eastern Germany where he studied the German rocket program. In 1946, he became the chief engineer of his department.
