Playa Las Américas is one of the main and most visited beaches of Tenerife. The beach is mostly visited by younger tourists and is considered a beach that is active 24 hours a day, as it is home to parties day and night. The youth go to the beach for its hedonistic qualities; a specially designated area of 1km in length is riddled with night clubs, cabare bars, live music spots, shops and restaurants.
If you like peace and quiet, this beach may not be the place for you. Bear in mind that many tourists who are housed in other areas of the island come to this bustling beach before returning to a more peaceful area where their accommodation of choice is located.
