Veletržní palác in Prague or Trade fair palace is an impressive modern art gallery. The typical “communist” architecture of the building with straight lines hides the beautiful open space interior. In this gallery you may enjoy the works of some of the most well-known Czech artists, as well as some of the best-known international artists (Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt).

Trade Fair Palace or Veletržní palác is a Modern Art Gallery that is dedicated to the art of the 19th, 20th and 21st century. This huge building hosts around 2,300 exhibits on the surface area of 13,500 square meters. Overall the collection is divided into two main sections: the domestic collection and the international one.
The international collection is composed of works of art of some of the most famous names around the world: Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt, Cézanne, Rodin, Munch, Gauguin, Renoir etc.
The domestic collection consists of a vast number of paintings and sculptures of Czech and Slovak artists: Alfons Mucha, Otto Gutfreund, Rudolf Fila, František Kupka etc.

Prices for the permanent exhibition
Regular ticket price is: 200CZK.
Reduced ticket price is: 100CZK.
Reduced price: students under 26, children under 18, senior citizens older than 65.
Free entrance: children under 6, disabled individuals with valid cards and their companions.
Free entrance: February7, 8, May17, 31, September27, October28.

Temporary exhibitions
Regular ticket price is: 200CZK.
Reduced ticket price is: 100CZK.
Since these are temporary exhibitions prices may vary. Under the cumulative name - National Gallery of Prague - there are many museums: The Trade Fair Palace, St Agnes of Bohemia, Kinský Palace etc. You can choose to visit just one of the galleries or more than one, and before you decide to visit any of them, it is advisable to check the individual and the cumulative prices on the National Gallery of Prague website.
(!) The admission is free of charge for the permanent exhibitions on certain dates. The reason for the free entrance is that on these days the gallery celebrates different national holydays or anniversaries.

Working hours of the National Gallery- Trade fair palace in Prague
From Tuesday to Sunday working hours are: 10:00-18:00h.
Closed: Mondays.
