How to reach Grand Canal in Venice
On the map it is really hard to miss this canal. It is the main canal that divides in two with its S shape the historic center of Venice. In any case, tourists need to cross the canal numerous times during their visit and there are just 4 bridges that can be used for this purpose.
(!) Keep in mind that in this city you really need a map if you are visiting for the first time. In small corridors one can easily get lost or walk in circles without seeing much of the city.
Since the Grand Canal is used for transportation even today, there are numerous water bus lines that stop along it.
Vaporetto lines that follow the entire course of the canal are: 1, 2, A and N (Nocturnal line).
