Located around 150 meters from Budva’s historical district, this beach surrounded by rocks is a true sandy beauty. Mogren beach offers you an escape from the noisy town streets and beaches, but is still close to anything you may need. Mogren is one of the most prestigious beaches in the Adriatic, with its fine sand and clear blue sea and the view of the Sveti Nikola Island. Mogren beach actually consists of two beaches connected via a tunnel, and its entrance is situated adjacent to the Avala Hotel in front of the walls of the historical district.
The beach is sunny all day long, and its position supplies it with gentle wind from the south. Mogren got its name thanks to Mogrini, a Spanish sailor, who found safety on the beach after a shipwreck, even building a small church there, dedicated to his patron saint, Saint Anthony. The hill overlooking Mogren beach is called Spas (Rescue). The beach is supplied with parasols, sunbeds, and one restaurant.
In front of the historical district, a small beach is located inside the very walls of Budva and it is called Richard’s Head. Possibly the most famous place in town, this beach is where the locals enjoy their morning coffee.
