The Mud Beach, belonging to the Dr. Simo Milošević Institute, is located in Igalo, one of Herceg Novi’s neighborhoods. This beach is easy to find, as it is the only one of its kind on the Montenegro Riviera, and is a favorite site for both tourist and locals.
The Institute for physical medicine, rehabilitation and rheumatology was established in 1949, and is listed in the most famous institutions of its kind in the Balkans. The institute houses a school for physical therapists, as well as the College of Applied Physical Therapy.
And right there, in front of the Institute, the famous mud beach is located, offering its healing mud free of charge to both locals and tourists to enjoy spa treatments for rheumatism or any similar ailments. The beach contains sun loungers, parasols, a beach bar and a car park.
The fee for a full-day use of a parasol and sun loungers costs €10.
The beach covers an area of 9000m2, so there is enough space for everyone.
