Lisbon:

Miradouro da Graca Viewpoint

Miradouro da Graca Viewpoint

Another very popular lookout point of Lisbon is Miradouro da Graca. A place known for gathering local people and is located in the neighborhood of Graca. Favorite also because of the charismatic cafe that offers seating, good service, great refreshments and fantastic views, and hidden among the pine trees. And from this place you can see the castle, a very good view of the city. A place where inspiration was born, where artists often stayed and painted landscapes that stretch from this lookout.

It is known to the public as the Graca Lookout Point but the real name of this lookout is Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breiner Andresen. It is named after the eponymous poetess who spent her time admiring Lisbon from this place. One of her poems is written on a wall on the lookout.

As you reach the lookout point, you will pass a garden with a small fountain and a bronze sculpture. And a special charm is in the stairs leading to the lookout made in the cobblestone style characteristic for Lisbon. From here you can see the oldest church, Igreja da Graca, and what especially thrills the visitors is the sunset.

To get to this place, we recommend the famous tram 28. The stop is called "Graca", and the lookout is around the corner.
