The Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Church - Arago Street 181 is the address of an orthodox church on whose gate it is inscribed “Iglesia Orthodoxa”. You may visit the church on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays – it is opened on these days. It officially belongs to the Serbian Orthodox Church. A huge number of Orthodox Christians live in Barcelona, so Serbs, Russians, Greeks, Romanians visit the church, and you may hear each of the languages spoken by the Orthodox people inside.

Catalan Orthodox Christians also go to this church. Father Joan is the elder of the church. There are about two million Orthodox Christians in whole Spain, divided in 200 parishes. Father Joan found peace in Orthodox faith, and he chose Saint John as the patron of his home.
