One of the most famous festivals that takes place every other year in Seville is the 'La Bienal' flamenco festival. Seville is the home of flamenco and its roots come from this city, and that is why special attention is paid to flamenco in this city. Theaters open their doors to visitors to see and listen to the best dancers, singers and guitarists throughout Shania, to enjoy the performances by awakening the emotions of their visitors. Most of the theater organizes workshops and conferences on the topic of flamenco.

The festival started its program in 1980, thanks to Jose Luis Ortiz Nuevo. The poster that promoted the first held festival was created by Joaquin Saenz, while the award at the first year's festival went to Calixto Sanchez.

The festival usually lasts for three weeks and is reflected in September every other year, while since 2015, the "Septiembre es flamenco" festival has been organized in odd years. Here, the unique art of Flamenco is presented in its full glory, providing a special energy.

During the La Biennale festival, a competition is held where an expert jury selects the best. The team consists of personalities who have an influence on the development of flamenco.
