AVNOJ Museum - The history of the state of SFR Yugoslavia was written in this present-day museum located in the former building of the Sokol Society, not far from the famous Plivski waterfall in the center of the town of Jajce. A total of 142 delegates were present at the House of Culture at the second session of AVNOJ. The second session of the Anti-Fascist Council of the People's Liberation of Yugoslavia began on November 29, 1943, at exactly 19:00. The doors of the House of Culture were wide open to all curious citizens, with all but the delegates at the entrance being thoroughly searched for the possibility of setting up a diversion.
The decision made at this session is one of the most important historical events for all countries of the former Yugoslavia. Today, this place has been turned into a museum. He keeps the memory of that important event. So the interior of the museum still exudes the officiality and solemnity of the session that took place in it. Chairs of various shapes are placed in the hall. There are several armchairs in the front row. In the middle is a deep armchair in which Comrade Tito sat. The guests of the session were sitting on the balcony. There were several shouts in the hall: Death to fascism-freedom to the people, Long live the anti-fascist council of the people's liberation of Yugoslavia, Long live the Red Army, Long live our heroic national liberation army.
The museum also houses portraits of Tito, Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill. Inside the museum there is also a steam locomotive manufactured in the XX century,
