London:

Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium is one of the most important soccer stadiums in England, and is currently the largest stadium in England, as well as one of the largest in the world. Wembley was the setting of the 1966 finals, and has been the host of five Champions League tournaments. Apart from soccer matches, the stadium was the host of the 1948 Olympics, as well as the venue in which concerts of some of the most famous performers were played, including Queen, Guns N’ Roses and Michael Jackson.

In 2002, a decision was made to completely renovate the stadium, which is what made the stadium the largest in Great Britain, and the second-largest in Europe, just behind Nou Camp in Barcelona. A tour of the Wembley is one of the most interesting parts of visiting London if you are a fan of soccer. You can visit the dressing rooms, press rooms, the presidential lounge, the tunnel, as well as the pitch itself. The tour also includes entry to the Wembley Museum, which contains an authentic collection of trophies, jerseys and photographs.
