Le Bon Marché shopping mall in Paris - In 1838, two brothers from Videau family, founded a store that sold small home utensils. Seven years later, they entered into a business venture with Mr. Bouciciut, who had the idea of creating the first store dedicated to women and their fashion necessities. The idea of creating a store where brands would be sold evolved somewhat later when Boucicauta, together with his wife, bought the original store from the Videau brothers.
This store is believed to have created famous catch phrases "the customer is always right" and "if you are not satisfied with the product, we will return you the money".
