The VRAKJEN PALACE is located on Kotor square of Salad, but the locals also call it Scala Santa (Holy Staircase). It belonged to the noble Vrakjen family. The palace completely preserved the authentic interior appearance from the seventeenth-century. The palace is unusual because it is the only one in Kotor with a red facade. Above the main entrance is a family coat of arms in the middle of which is a crow bird. This is the only palace in Kotor to have its own chapel, in which this family is most likely buried. There are not much information about this family.
