Bujović Palace is one of the most beautiful baroque palaces on the Adriatic coast. It is located on the seafront, at the entrance to Perast. Beautiful on the outside as well as the inside, Bujović Palace once belonged to a Perast noble family and today is home to the Perast Museum. The palace was built in 1684 in Baroque style. It was built by two brothers, Ivan and Vicko Bujovic, for their family and friends, as well as for the important parties organized for the noblemen at the time. The palace consists of two floors and a large balcony.
Legend has it that the owner, Vicko Bujovic, pushed the architect Giovanni Fonte off the roof of the palace after asking him if he could make a greater palace, to which Fonte replied: I can, I'm not there yet, but I can. Proud Vicko Bujovic died in a conspiracy that the family Zmajevic organized against him. His tomb was never found, but it is presumed that he was burried on the island of St. George.
The Museum of Perast owns a rich collection of maritime books from the 18th and 19th century, a library of the noble family Viskovic, noble salons, furniture, portraits, folk costumes, love letters, ship models, weapons (swords, sabers, yatagans), the city flag, and it is possible to see a Venetian flag from the eighteenth century as well.
It is possible to arrange a wedding ceremony in the palace, as well as to take photos on the palace balcony. The Bujović family has no living heirs today.

Regular ticket price: 8 €
Reduced ticket price: 1 € - for children under 12 years
Reduced ticket price: 4 € - for a group of more than 5 people
(!) The ticket includes a guided tour (curator). If guests are interested in exploring the history of Perast, friendly museum employees are always willing to cooperate.
