Although Trondheim is not a big city, it has many sights that visitors should see if they come to this Norwegian city. Trondheim is adorned with a beautiful cathedral, an amazing harbor, numerous bridges, a fortress as well as a royal residence.

The Archbishop's Palace is located next to Nidaros Cathedral. It is a place where people from the upper classes gathered, where important meetings were held but also big parties were organized. This was the home of the archbishop and sheriff, and was also used as a warehouse. The palace is used today for formal receptions and dinners. It contains several museums. In Lavetthuset you will find the National Exhibition of Regalia including the Crown of Norway and the Rustkammeret Defense Museum. In the southern part is the Museum of the Archbishop's Palace. The museum displays sculptures from Nidaros Cathedral, as well as archeological findings.

Botanical Garden NTNU Ringve

You must meet the charm of the Ringve Botanical Garden! The Ringve Botanical Garden was founded as a university garden in 1973. It is located next to the Ringve Museum and occupies over 130 hectares of land on Ladehalvøya in Trondheim. It is run by the NTNU Night Museum. Herbs in the garden are a living collection used to research endangered plants. Also, the garden conveys knowledge about the diversity and importance of plants for humans and animals.
