Aquarium Barcelona is located in old harbour, bear the Columbus Monument, and it is one of the most significant aquariums in Europe. It is a home to 11.000 animals representing 451 species. The underwater 80-meter tunnel provides you with an opportunity to enjoy an underwater walk, with sharks swimming around.
Each tank represents a different marine habitat where colourful fish, sharks, and sea worms live. Besides Mediterranean species, there are also tropical ones from Hawaii or the Red Sea. For the brave, there are tours with swimming with sharks. Needless to mention, the number of divers is limited and it must be booked in advance. Additionally, there is a penguin section which is highly entertaining.
