Barcelona:

Boquería Market

Boquería Market

La Boqueria is one of the most popular attractions in Barcelona. The market is located in the central part of La Rambla. La Boqueria has a long history, in the 13th century there were stands where people sold meat. During the 17th century, fishermen, butchers, bakers, farmers etc. used to gather there. That tradition has continued to this day.

There you may find various fruits, such as papayas, mangos, peaches, pineapples, etc. It is important to highlight that prices are high, so be thorough before deciding what and where you are going to buy. Around the market, there are cafés and restaurants, and prices there are close to those in luxurious restaurants, which is kind of weird given it is only a marketplace. You can buy food for take away

The opening hours of La Boqueria are from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:30.
