Camp Nou Stadium

Camp Nou, the stadium of FC Barcelona is one of the most important landmarks for football fans from all over the world. It was built in the period from 1954 to 1957, and it was officially opened on 24 September, 1957, on the feast day of Our Lady of Mercy, patron of the city. Initially, the stadium used to have 93.053 seats, and following expansion in 1982, it has the capacity up to 120.000 seats.

Within the stadium, there are a museum and a media center. The FC Barcelona Museum is currently considered the most modern museum among football museums. There you may see trophies that FC Barcelona have won, look around the shop windows, learn something about the club’s history, watch most interesting matches, etc. On the field, it is only allowed to enter the zone around the pitch. Due to preserving the grass, it is not allowed to enter the field. FC Barcelona’s changing rooms are out of reach because the players keep their personal possessions in there. You may visit the conference room or the press lodges, from where matches are broadcast to millions of people around the world. Press lodges offer a fantastic view of the stadium.
