The Magic Fountain of Montjuic is located on Plaza de España (square) in Sans Montjuic area. It is the biggest fountain in Barcelona, built in 1929. The fountain is a large oval-shaped pool, dimensions 65x59 meters, in which 3.620 nozzles are installed in the cascades, which are refined with lighting. In the evening, accompanied by music, 54 meters of colourful water streams rises in the air. We recommend visiting the fountain on 26 September, when there is a display followed with fireworks, honoring Mare de Deu de la Merce, the Patron Saint of Barcelona. Not far from the fountain, there is a playgrounds park.
The Magic Fountain has over 7 million possible water and lighting combinations thanks to the possibility of combining hydraulic and lighting elements that it has.

From November 1 to January 6: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 20:00 to 21:00
From January 7 to February 28: the fountain is closed
From 1 to 31 March: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 20:00 to 21:00
From April 1 to May 31: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 21:00 to 22:00
From June 1 to September 30: Monday to Sunday from 21:30 to 22:30
From 1 to 31 October: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 21:00 to 22:00
