The Faro de Moncloa Tower

Faro de Moncloa Tower - We are sure that many of you when visiting any city are looking for some good lookout to enjoy the view that extends to the whole city. Faro de Moncloa is such a place. The place where Madrid got a new dimension, located on your palm and you feel it as your city. From Madrid to the sky, Faro de Monocloa provides an experience that meets all expectations and more. The view from here is equal to paradise. The 110-meter-high tower was built in 1992 and has become one of the main tourist attractions. In the same year, Madrid was declared the European Capital of Culture. Architect Salvador Perez Arroyo designed the tower in Plaza de la Moncloa. The tower was closed in the period from 2005 to 2015 due to safety regulations that were introduced after the fire in Windsor Tower in 2004. However, the tower reopened its elevator doors in April 2015.

The panoramic view is stunning, and the elevator takes you to 92 meters where there is an observation post. You can see up to a hundred kilometers away if the day is sunny and beautiful. Within the Faro de Moncloa you have panels where you can read a bit more about the history of Madrid and the buildings that can be seen from this place. The panels are written in Spanish and English.
