Qasr Al Hosn and the Corniche Palace, a fortress and the seat of government until 1966. Qasr Al Hosn is a historical center of Abu Dhabi. It was the first public building, used as a watchtower more than 250 years ago. The renovation of this building, originally made of corals and sea rocks, transformed into a large culture center. Look at the beautiful series of photographs depicting the fortress in peaceful desert environment from 70 years ago in order to understand how much the emirate has changed since oil was found. Then, rent a bicycle and enjoy sea breeze while crossing the 8 kilometers long Corniche promenade. Parking is free and available next to the Nation Towers on Corniche Road. Use the pedestrian underpass to enter the beach.

The Women Handcraft Center and Umm Al Emarat park – enter the Women Handcraft Center, government initiative to support local women in nurturing Bedouin crafts, such as weaving palm trees.
