The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum was opened in 2017. Its building is a work of art by itself. The geometrical roof dome that won Jean Nouvel’s the Pritzker Architecture Award is spectacular, and its designs lets ‘the rain of light to pour’. The interior will not disappoint you with spacious exhibition spaces, 12 galleries, and a separate stage under the sea. Each room has a clear flow, i.e. it depicts a travel through time that was carefully planned for the museum. New Art Lounge offers a beautiful space for socializing with enjoying the beautiful view of Abu Dhabi or the sunset while having a drink or dinner.

Warehouse 421

Warehouse421 is located in two warehaouses in busy Mina harbour. Warehouse421 is a lively hub for creativity. Majority of the exhibits in the museum is focused on the UAE, or it were created by artists from the UAE, and exhibits are changed quarterly. Prior exhibitions involved new talents from the Emirates, the UAE’s contributions to the Venice Biennale, and a poignant insight in the UAE family photos from the beginning of the 20th century. They offer free tickets so that children and adults may explore their creativity and learn about the UAE crafts.

Etihad Modern Art Gallery

Etihad Modern Art Gallery is located in Al Bateen, at the heart of Abu Dhabi. Art enthusiasts found in the Etihad Gallery an electrifying and modern independent gallery that is worth visiting. Exhibitions put emphasis on talents from the Middle East, but they also exhibit works by foreign artists. After seeing the exhibits, you may go to a restaurant nearby, or to elegantly creative Art House Café, ran by the gallery owners. Unusual décor and striking works of art complement walls together with colourful furniture made of modified items, such as tables and chairs for oil barrels, which poses striking atmosphere. Exhibitions are varied monthly.

Manarat Al Saadiyat

Manarat Al Saadiyat was renovated recently so it would include new art and photography studios in order to provide a hub for the public where they could work on their projects together with teams of artists and photographers. Specialized workshops, plays, movie screenings and music are a part of their program. New Drop-In Studio is a space for people of all ages to come and experiment with art. Manarat Al Saadiyat is the first art and culture center in the cultural district Saadiyat.  Manarat Al Saadiyat, meaning “the place of enlightenment”, offers a wide specter of exhibitions, performances, productions, conferences, discussions, and workshops throughout the whole year.

Etihad Antiques Gallery

Etihad Antique Gallery is located next to Etihad Modern Art Gallery. There are relics from all over the world in the gallery. Devoted collectors may buy such rarities there which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. They possess impressive and substantial collections of coins and swords. The gallery is located in a villa in Al Bateen, and it is a home to extensive collections of Islamic, European, Arab and Middle-Eastern antiquities, artefacts and works of art. Firstly, the gallery was closed for public, but now it is open for everyone. The gallery is connected to the neighbouring villa, Etihad Modern Art Gallery, that is proud of the collection with works by local artists. Exhibitions in both galleries not only aid the promotion of modern art, but also emphasize the significance of preserving the region’s past and history.
