Buenos Aires is a city whose shopping potential will amaze you. As in all major cities in the world, you will be able to find shops of every international luxury goods producers, as well as retail centers and local shops that sell products made in Argentina. Local antique markets are also popular, while jewelry and furniture markets also attract many visitors. The Matadores Fair is visited by around 15 thousand people each week.
The Galerías Pacífico is one of the most luxurious shopping centers in Buenos Aires, boasting world-famous brand names, which makes it popular among locals and tourists alike. However, the shopping center is not only visited because of its shops, but also for the artistic installations located inside it, as well as for its famous dome, which was completed by artists Juan Carlos Castagnino, Antoni Berni and Lino Spilimberg.
Where and what to buy in Buenos Aires? As we’ve already mentioned, a great shopping spot for all is the Palermo Soho. This cobbled area has it all, from antique stores to brand-name shops. The point is to shop where the locals do in order to save money, or, as the locals like to say, to save “unos mangos”. We behin our tour in the Gurruchaga and Aguirre Streets. The closest metro station to these areas is the Malabia, which is on the metrobus B line. Of course, it is easy to get lost in some of the many smaller streets in the area, but the main street is always easy to find.
