Buenos Aires:

Where and what to buy in Buenos Aires

Where and what to buy in Buenos Aires? As we’ve already mentioned, a great shopping spot for all is the Palermo Soho. This cobbled area has it all, from antique stores to brand-name shops. The point is to shop where the locals do in order to save money, or, as the locals like to say, to save “unos mangos”.

We behin our tour in the Gurruchaga and Aguirre Streets. The closest metro station to these areas is the Malabia, which is on the metrobus B line. Of course, it is easy to get lost in some of the many smaller streets in the area, but the main street is always easy to find.

Local produce and exceptionally good coffee can be bought anywhere in the area. As the Argentinians are famous for their exceptional meat products, you can also buy great cured meat to take home with you. The stores also sell handmade items, which is great for those who want to bring home something truly unique and authentic.

Keep in mind that the stores are open Monday thru Saturday between 19am and 7:30pm. On Sundays, the stores open at 12am and close at 7pm.

The shops accept different currencies, namely Argentine pesos and American dollars. Discounts are available for cash purchases
