Transportation to and from the airport
If you have come to Vienna by a plane, you can use public transport from the airport to your desired destination. There are a few options how you can get from the airport to the city center, main station or some other destination, and these are OBB Railjet, bus or high speed train.
 
CAT- The city airport train is a good choice for travelling from the airport to the city, that is to Wien Mitte railway station. The ride lasts for 16 minutes, and the departure is at every 30 min. At the airport, there is a terminal for selling tickets, and you can buy them online, as well.

One-way ticket costs 12 euros, whereas a return ticket is 21 euros. You can book it and buy it six months in advance and that is also for how much time it is valid. There is a discount if you buy a ticket online. For all additional information, see the website CAT.
 
Railjet Train (OBB) gives a ride to passengers from the airport to the main station in Vienna for 15 minutes and to the station Wien Meidling for half an hour. At the airport, there is a terminal for selling tickets, and you can buy them online, as well.
There is a ride at every half an hour in the period between 06.33h and 23.03h.

When it comes to the opposite direction,from Wien Meidling the timetable is from 5.34 to 22.00h and from the main station from 05.42h to 22.12h. You can buy tickets at OBB stands at the airport, machines that sell tickets and by using the mobile phone app OBB.

High-speed train S7 also departs from the airport at every half an hour, and the stations where it stops are Wien Mitte and Wien Praterstern, with transfers to Vienna Railway station and subway stations. The ride from the airport to Wien Mitte station lasts for 25 minutes,and to Wien Praterstern for half an hour.
The ticket price is 4.20 euros.
 
A bus transport from the airport to the city centre through Messezentrum and Viennese International Center (VIC)/ Austria Center Vienna, or to the Westbahnhof and the main station in Vienna. The ticket for adults is 8 euros, a return ticket is 13e. Children under the age of 6 don’t have to pay, and children from 6 to 14 years pay 4 euros for a one-way ticket, whereas the return ticket is 8 euros. You can buy tickets from a driver, at selling machines, at airport stands or online.
