The first thing you should consider are the types of tickets you want to buy. There are five possibilities:
Tribune - the place from which most Brazilians watch the parade. Very convenient and exciting place. It is a good idea to arrive a little earlier to get the best possible seats. Places are not numbered.
Open boxes - front boxes, friezes. Friezes are considered the best seats for those who only care about watching the parade. They do not have services included, but are very close to the parade. The frieze has 4 rows, and the price depends on the row you get. The row Th is right next to the bar and is the most expensive. Rows B, C and D are located one above the other so your view is never obscured.
Numbered seats can be found only in 12 or 13 sectors (the final part of the Sambadrome). They are more affordable than open boxes and people love them because the seats are numbered.
Traditional cabins are located on the first or second floor of the Sambadrome. There are up to 15 people on the first floor, and up to 18 people on the second floor (it has a balcony). These are small VIP areas, but with all services. You can buy a ticket and share the place with other customers or buy the entire offer for your group of friends or company.
VIP lounge Super cabins are huge areas with more than 700 hundred people, mostly have 2 floors and offer all-inclusive services (VIP buffet, transfer/entrance, open bar) and numerous attractions such as spa, makeup, beauty center, live concerts in breaks, DJs and others. Here there is a space on the first floor called "Salones" where you can see a samba parade very close to the avenue.
The price you will pay depends on where you want to sit. For example, for open boxes, the prices range from 85 to 400 USD.
