The Lent Festival takes place on the Drava River, a location between the Water Tower and the Tower of Justice. Every year, at the end of June and beginning of July. This is a festival that moves life, calls for socializing, fun and joy. In the perfect ambience of Lent, it is one of the most visited festivals. Every year, the festival is visited by about 500,000 people. There is no Slovenian who has not been to the Lent Festival and every one of them will wholeheartedly recommend you to visit it.
This is a music festival, where you can hear various genres of music. A melody for everyone's ears. From jazz music, through folklore and street entertainers. At the Lent festival, you can enjoy the sounds of the opera, watch a ballet or a great theater performance.
This is not just a festival for adults, there is everything here, for every age and every taste. The best world music can be heard here. In addition to music and performances, here along the river Dravua, in a beautiful environment during summer evenings, you can also enjoy various sports games, good food that only Slovenians prepare.
