Stockholm:

The Sven-Harry Art museum

The Sven-Harry Art museum

This is combination of classical and contemporary art in one place. The Sven-Harry’s Art Museum was founded by Swedish builder Sven-Harry Karlsson. It is located in the center of Stockholm, and the building’s appearance is fascinating. It was designed by Gert Wingårdh and Anna Höglund of Wingårdh Architects. The golden colour of the building is copper-aluminium-zinc alloy that does not darken when exposed to oxygen. One of the installations that attracts the most attention is the replica of Sven-Harry’s former house on the roof. The balcony on the roof with sculptures gives a magical panorama view of Vasastan.

The museum is the right place of conversations on different concepts of art, exhibitions, collaborations, and discussions. In the beautiful home ambient of the museum you may see one of the largest private Swedish collections with Nordic art items, with particular focus on works by Carl Fredrik Hill. There you may also find works by Ernst Josephson, August Strindberg, and Helene Schjerfbeck. You will also be amazed Gio Ponti and Georg Haupt furniture, as well as by Märta Måås-Fjetterström rugs. Besides the museum, there are also an art gallery, conference rooms, 18 apartments. There is also the Guld Kaffe & Kök café.
