Al-Ain Oasis - Even though Al-Ain is a relatively “sleepy” desert city, visitors may be surprised to find out that surfing tournaments are organized here, as well as visits to safari parks, luxury hotels and shopping malls. For that reason, do not leave the UAE before spending a few days in the City of the Garden. Begin the tour by visiting six urban regions protected by UNESCO in Al-Ain, and take walk of 4.500 years in the past.
The city of Al-Ain is named after an oasis of the same name that expands on over 1.200 hectares, and consists of 147.000 date palm trees and fruits such as mango, oranges, bananas, and figs. It has models of falays – a native system of complex water canals that reach underground wells. In order to see exhibits of ancient tombs from the Bronze Age, pay a visit to a nearby, local archeological site Hili, a public garden where archeological remains are intermingled with lush lawns. At the center of the park, there is a large circular tomb from the Umm-an Nar period (2.500-2.000 BC), evidence that people have settled there long ago.
Visiting Al-Ain is a memorable experience that we recommend to all our visitors.
