The South Pointe Park

The South Pointe Park

South Pointe Park is a green paradise in southern part of Miami Beach. This area offers an amazing panoramic view. It is a popular location for taking photos of Miami’s beaches, the Port of Miami, mega cruisers and Fisher island. The park has an access to a beach, a pedestrian zone and sporting areas, as well as benches and picking spots. There is also a gym in the open, a playground for children, and one of the most famous restaurants in Miami – “Smith and Wollensky steakhouse”. Visitors come here to enjoy in peace and read books under palm trees, while others come for their daily workout, to do toga, to roller skate or skateboard.

The Collins Avenue

The Collins Avenue

Collins Avenue is the main thoroughfare in South Florida. It runs just by the ocean, and it was named for John Collins, a developer who, in 1913, completed Miami’s first bridge, Collins Bridge, connecting Miami Beach to the mainland across Biscayne Bay. The avenue is 21km long. It is a counterpart to New York’s Fifth Avenue. There is a long pedestrian zone by the beach and ocean, with numerous cafés, restaurants and night clubs.

The Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool

Venetian Pool is a unique attraction, not only in Miami and Florida, but in the whole US. The pool is located near the city, but outside Miami, in a place called Coral Gables. Hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world visit Venetian Pool over the course of year. It was built in 1923 on the site of an old coral rock quarry. It has the capacity of 820.000 gallons of water.

The Jungle Island

The Jungle Island

Jungle Island is an eco-adventure park located on Watson Island. It was formerly known as Parrot Jungle. It was opened in 1936, but in a different location. It has been in its current location since 2003. It was founded by Francis Scherr, and it is one of the oldest attraction of such kind in Florida. When the ‘jungle’ where birds fly freely was opened, there were various species of trees and flowers. A ticket cost 25 cents. Since 1936, over a million people have visited the park.

The Miami Seaquarium

The Miami Seaquarium is a perfect location to have fun with your family. It offers a unique experience with sea animals. This attraction offers various and unique events, it is a place for fun, but also a place where you may learn something new. The tropical sea paradise expands on 38 hectares. There visitors may swim with dolphins, to spend time with seals and penguins, to scuba-dive and get to know the sea world. Swimming and hanging out with seals lasts for 20 minutes, and during this everlasting experience, you will get a kiss and a hug from a seal.
