Boka Kotorska:

Orahovac

Orahovac

ORAHOVAC is a village located 5 kilometers from Perast. It is named after numerous walnut trees that grow exactly on this very spot. The village consists of two parts, upper Orahovac and lower Orahovac. Upper Orahovac is located on the right side of the Adriatic highway, where the majority of the population lives. In the upper Orahovac, the most interesting tourist attraction is the St. George Orthodox Church, which was built on a cliff. This settlement once had their own fleet which consisted of 28 ships.

The lower Orahovac is a place with an amazing beach where all locals from Kotor come during the summer season. The lower Orahovac is located below the Adriatic highway. Orahovac beach is 1,000 meters long and is a great place for families with children. The beach is surrounded by numerous trees and green areas and it is a truly unique place. Here visitors will find 3 beach bars (Grota Beach Bar, Orahovac and Galija), which offer daily parties, cocktails, food, deck chairs and parasols. In this place, the sea is extremely clean. This is supported by the fact that edible shells (mussels) are grown and sold here - such seafood can only be grown in places where the water is very clean, but also slightly cooler than in other parts of the bay.
