The Rovinj Heritage Museum

The Rovinj Heritage Museum

The Rovinj Heritage Museum was founded in 1954 on the initiative of fine artists from Rovinj. They envisioned the museum as a place to gather cultural wealth and a place where a rich exhibition activity would take place. The museum functions as a city gallery and as a permanent museum space in which valuable works are exhibited, such as: archeological and naval exhibits, collections of old masters, contemporary Croatian art.During its existence, rich and valuable collections were created: contemporary art, archeological finds, ethnologies, books, documents and photographs, collections of old masters, etc. Due to the cramped space and rich gallery, a small part of the museum's holdings is available to visitors today.
