Kotor:

Don Branko's Music Days

Don Branko's Music Days

Don Branko Sbutega was a Catholic priest in Kotor, a pastor of the church in Dobrota. To commemorate this great benefactor from Kotor, Don Branko's Music Days are held every year, which always begin on the Independence Day of Montenegro, July 13th, and last for the whole month. During Don Branko's Music Days, performances and concerts of classical music are held on Kotor squares. Guests from both Montenegro and abroad enjoy beautiful performances where Kotor is presented as a true capital of culture. Most concerts are held on the plateau in front of the Cathedral of Saint Tripun. The aim of this event is to commemorate the life of Don Branko Sbutega, as well as to revive Kotor streets, markets and squares. The guests come even from China, such as the children's musical "Bah through Time and Continents".
During the same period, the Children's Kotor Festival and Children's Theaters take place, when the city gets a completely new face, with various interesting installations inside of old city walls. Children from Kotor, as well as guests from the surrounding countries, honor the hosts and guests with numerous performances. In front of the Cathedral of Saint Tripun there is a Fashion and Art Fair, which lasts for 2 nights. Numerous fashion designers from Montenegro, Serbia as well as all over the world present various fashion trends for the upcoming season. Dior Maison had a fashion show here as well.
