Construction of the Colombo Shopping Center began in 1994, and the official opening was on September 15, 1997. It found inspiration for its construction in the period of discovery, one of the most important historical periods in Portugal. The interior is very interesting, so some hallways in the market have names such as "Discovery Avenue", "Square Tropical Crab" and the like. In the period from 2007 to 2009, the shopping center worked on the renovation of its interior, combining modernity with the already existing look and concept. This shopping center cares about environmental protection and business policies to save energy, reduce plastics and recycle waste.
