The cable car in Madrid

The Madrid cable car is considered one of the more interesting attractions of Madrid because many visitors choose to ride it to see Madrid and all its beauties from a different perspective. The cable car is 2457 meters long and connects Parque del Oeste with Casa de Campo. The gondola was opened in 1969, and Van Roll was in charge of it. It has a total of 80 cabins with six seats. Some monumental buildings, green areas, highways, gardens and the most important parts of the city can be seen while riding.

  • The ride takes 11 min.
  • From 2018, the cable car is managed by the utility company for transport EMT.
  • Working hours: June, July August from Monday to Thursday - from 12:00 to 19:30, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - from 12:00 to 20:30.
  • Transportation: Metro - Argüelles (L3, L4, L6), Batán (L10), Lago (L10), Bus 21, 33, 62, 74
The ticket price is 6.00 euros for adults in both directions, and 4.5 euros in one direction. Children up to 4 years do not pay the ticket, from 4 to 12 the ticket price is 5.00 euros for both directions and 4.00 euros for one direction, the same applies to people over 65 years.
