Transport from/to the airport. The official transport service of the city of Madrid, which operates 24 hours a day from Barajas Airport to the city center, every day of the year, with a reduced timetable on December 24, 25 and 31 and January 1, is "Express airport".
Departures are from Atocha station during the day (6:00h - 23:30h) and Cibeles station during the day and night (23:30h - 6:00h). The ride takes about half an hour, and the ticket costs 5.00 euros. You can buy a ticket on the bus, in cash or by credit card.
In addition to this comfortable and very beautiful yellow bus, you can reach the airport from the city by line 200 from Avenida de America and line 101 which departs from Canillejas, passes through the airport and arrives in the city of Baraja.
The Madrid taxi is in recognizable white color. It is very affordable, especially at night. For example, a taxi from the city center to the airport costs 30 EUR, the ride takes 30 minutes.
