It is also one of the largest museums in the USA, and among the most renowned in the world. It has a collection consisting of more than a million and a half exhibits coming from the ancient Egypt, American art, modern art, but also representing art from many international cultures.

The museum is very popular with more than half a million visitors annually. The mission that the museum aims to fulfill is reflected in the creation of inspiring encounters with art that expand the ways in which we see ourselves, the world and its possibilities.
