New York City:

The transport from/to the airport

The transport from/to the airport

There are four airports in New York, each of them doing equally well and they connect New York with the rest of America and the world. One of the busiest is JFK airport; there are also La Guardia, New York Newark and New York Westchester. All international airline companies, including low-cost companies, take off and land at these airports. For example, JFK airport is 2 hours away from Times Square. The airport offers many options of how to get to the city or your accommodation anywhere in New York.

Taxis at JFK charge $52 to get you Manhattan. There is additional charge of $4.50 during the rush hour (from 16.00h to 20.00h during the week), so the price amounts to $56.50.
Besides taxis, there is also another option – you can take “Shuttle Bus” that will take you to Grand Central for $20. You can also book a ticket for when you go back to the airport again. They are on time, safe and affordable. A round-trip ticket costs $35.

AirTrain connects airport terminals with the New York City subway at Howard Beach and Jamaica stations. You can get on E, J or Z line on Jamaica. You can get to Howard Beach on A line.  All New York subway prices are separate from AirTrain, but you can pay for it with any MetroCard. One ticket costs $2.75.

If you take the subway to get to the airport, you will get off at Sutphin Boulevard station on E, J or Z line, or at Howard Beach on line A in order to use AirTrain.
