In order to use Public City Transport in Ljubljana, you need to buy an Urban card, which costs € 2. It is bought at kiosks, post offices, tutistic information centers. The minimum amount you can pay on Urban is € 1, and the maximum is € 50. You can top up the cards at Urbanomats, ticket machines, which are located at bus stops. You can top up Ubrana with cash and a credit card.
If you are a tourist in Ljubljana, you can return 2 € for the purchased Urabana card. But only if you buy the card at the tourist information desks, save the bill and replace the card with your money before leaving Ljubljana.
Depending on the zone, regular tickets cost 1 zone - € 1.20: the second zone € 1.60, the third zone € 2.50.
Buses run mainly from 05:00 in the morning, on Sundays from 6:00 in the morning until 22:30. You also have some night lines, namely N1 (22:30 - 05:00), 2, 5 and 6 (03:15 - 00:00), N3 (21: 00- 05:00) and N11 (03:15 - 05:00).
