Istanbul:

Sultan Ahmet Park

Sultan Ahmet Park

Another very beautiful, attractive and colorful park lies in the old historical part of Istanbul - Sultanahmet Park. Apart from the good location, the park is recognized for its tulips in all colors and the fountain located in the middle of the park. It is located between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The park is ideal for sitting and enjoying the views of the most famous tourist attractions, everything seems so relaxing. Although it is always full of visitors, the park is peaceful, and perhaps the reason is that it is located between two religious buildings.

It is especially enjoyable to sit in it when the night lights come on. In the park there is a very high marble column, which during the reign of the Eastern Roman Empire represented the zero point. This was the point for measuring all distances.

Within the park there is also a tgr that contributes to the overall image of this place. During the tulip festival, this is a park with over 700,000 tulips that give the appearance of a carpet, ie the tulips are woven one by one like patterns on carpets. Those tulips are produced by farmers from the city of Konya. The carpet has a size of 1,400 square meters. Sultanahmet Park is the starting point in Istanbul.
