Matambre Arrollado is a name for meat rolls. Cuts of beef coming from beneath the ribs of a cow are used to prepare this very tasty dish. Though it may sound funny that only Argentina uses this cut of meat for this dish, while the rest of the world uses flank steak to make it, there is a reason for this. The section that the Argentines use is low in fat, which makes it perfect for grilling. However, the matambre arrollado doesn’t only consist of meat. Mixed vegetables, boiled eggs, olives, olive oil, peppers and spices are added, and garlic is often included into the mix.
Fugazza – Argentine pizza. Even though the fugazza may seem to be just another type of pizza among many, the truth is completely different. Let us begin: the crust of this pizza is up to a centimeter thick, which on its own differentiates it from other pizzas. The main topping on this pizza is cheese, and if the pizza isn’t completely covered with cheese, it is not a fugazza. other common toppings include spicy pork sausage, ham and peppers, vegetables and Béchamel sauce.
Locro – a traditional Argentine dish we highly recommend to everyone. This tasty dish is prepared with white corn, beef or pork, as well as tripe, a lot of beans, pumpkin and peas. Hot salsa made out of peppers and chili is often added, which makes the dish even spicier.
Humita – corn rolls If you are a fan of corn, you will love this dish. A tasty mixture made out of corn, milk and spices is made, which is then made dense and rolled into leaves of corn. This is then steam cooked or boiled, and onions, goat cheese and spices are added afterward. Humita is not only popular in Argentina, but in other Latin America countries as well
