The birth house of Svetozara Ćorović, the most important novelist in Herzegovina, was built in 1874 in a particularly Neo-Renaissance style. Aleksa Šantić spent the last years of his life in this house. The memorial room of Šantić in this house is dedicated to the life and work of the Bosnian writer. In the room there are numerous author's literary works, objects from his private life as well as his desk where many works were created. The house also hides a corner dedicated to the Mostar writer Hamza Humi. Library with selected works, collection of Šantić's works, manuscripts and letters.
A room dedicated to publishing, which further enriches the content of the house. The small gallery inside the house is suitable for various types of cultural programs. Then the poet's garden decorated with Herzegovinian vegetation with beautiful views of the Neretva. By all accounts, it is one of the favorite destinations of the city of Mostar. Ćorović's house still belongs to the Department of Literature of the Museum of Herzegovina Mostar and shares the space with the Serbian Educational Cultural Society "Education".
